What free means on BlockBlast.ie
You open the page, press Play now and play. Nobody asks for an email address, a password or a card. There's no account system on the site at all, so there's nothing to upgrade.
The same goes for the three buttons above the board. Share, Lights off and Fullscreen are part of the page, and none of them sits behind a payment.
What you get without paying
- The 8×8 board
- A score, and a best score kept next to a crown
- As many rounds as you want
How the mobile app is free
The original Block Blast is a free-to-play app for iPhone, iPad and Android, made by Hungry Studio. It contains in-app ads. That's the app's business model, and it's separate from this site.
The catch, such as it's
The browser game here is loaded from an outside game host, and its logo appears on the start screen before every session. You can't remove that. It costs you one extra click.
A note for parents
BlockBlast.ie has no account to create and never asks for payment details, so there's nothing on the site for a child to buy. See Information for Parents.
Start a round
Go to the Block Blast game and drag the first piece onto the board. If you haven't played before, how to play Block Blast covers the rules. The game is listed under block games, and the other ways in are under Play Block Blast.
