What you get when you open the page
A dark game frame at the top of the home page with a start screen and a Play now button. Press it and an 8×8 grid appears, with the score above it and the pieces in a tray below.
Three buttons sit on the bar above the frame:
- Share copies the page link, or opens your phone's share sheet.
- Lights off dims everything on the page except the game.
- Fullscreen makes the board fill the screen.
Starting a game takes three steps
- Open BlockBlast.ie.
- Press Play now inside the frame.
- Drag a piece from the tray onto the grid.
There's no account to create at any point.
The browser game and the app aren't the same thing
The app called Block Blast comes from Hungry Studio and runs on iPhones, iPads and Android phones. Its two modes are Classic and Adventure Master. It carries ads, and you can play it with no connection.
What runs here is a browser take on that puzzle, with one board and one score. It needs a connection to load, and it runs inside a frame served by an outside game host, whose logo you'll see on the start screen.
One thing that may annoy you
The start screen sits between you and the board every time the page loads. There's no way to skip it: you press Play now on each visit.
If the board doesn't appear
- Reload the page once.
- Check that a content blocker isn't stopping the game frame, since the game is loaded from another host.
- On a school or work network, read Block Blast unblocked.
New to the rules? How to play Block Blast covers them, and Block Blast free explains what it costs. The game is also listed under block games.
Who runs this site
BlockBlast.ie is an independent site. The About us page says who we are, the Terms of Service cover use of the site, and Contact us is the place to report a board that won't load.
